stars at rest

There, the sea is stars at rest
Heaven skimming top the waves
Even sighs of crashing crest
Raven fingers wet sand craves

Ever washing clean the shore
There, the sea is stars at rest
Honored well in misty lore
Even sighs of crashing crest

Swept by breezes dusky dark
Ever washing clean the shore,
Ardor left a tragic mark;
It's honored well in misty lore.

She was pale with burnished hair
Swept by breezes dusky dark.
Talked in whisper, walked with care.
Ardor left a tragic mark,

Rent her life and love apart.
She was pale with burnished hair
And dreamt of one with promised heart.
Talked in whisper, walked with care

Rent her life and love apart midst
Even sighs of crashing crest.
She died for one with promised heart
There, where the sea is stars at rest.
