maggie

sienna flag waving
she's a princess,
a junkie
warm breath puffing
she's a runner,
snow bunny

aristocratic nose
she's far superior
but when she tosses her hair
she wants to play
and she gets her way

red tornado,
my twirly girlie
in the eye of her storm
you'll get a handshake,
an enthusiastic hello
and vertigo

so haughty, she fairly prances
gingerly stealing a french fry
or your heart
fur coat naturalist:
in your anger,
she dances
